Breathing on a high ground

After being delayed, today I finally hiked to Mount Galunggung.  This is the highest plateau that can be visited in my place.  This place is always beautiful because there are not many human activities here other than annual nature recreational visits.  Although the problem of cleanliness and exploitation of nature cannot be denied, it continues to occur.

I went with Ma Haji's grandchildren.  Azmi, Kaka, and Dede. Apart from that, Wildan and Yudha also joined. So we are six.  It's been a while since our last trip together.  So we're really excited.

Heading off at 6 am, we need about 40 minutes to reach the crater.  Passing through the ever-soothing pine forest.  Treated with green natural scenery with gray clouds.  We chose the right path at the top, this is used for hiking with a slightly sloping path.  The air is a little cold and I like it !

This is the latest state of Galunggung crater after the last avalanche.  Forests, savannas and river streams from the peaks to the crater have been buried.  Too bad indeed.  But nature always has its own anger and healing.

Calliandra houstoniana flower.  Variation of calothyrsus, native to Mexico, Central America, has been widely introduced in agroforestry systems in tropical and subtropical regions of the world.  As a medicine for rheumatism, sedative, shortness of breath, uterine cancer, arthritis, and blood purifier as well as contraception, it can also be used as anthelmintic (worm medicine), antidiarrheal, antispasmodic, antipyretic, anticholigenic, anticonvulsant, analgesic, antiulcerogenic, antimicrobial against Staphyloccocus aureus bacteria  , Escherichia coli and Staphyloccocus gallinallum.

The stairs we chose on the way down.  It has 620 steps!  Our legs were shaking as we walked down haha.
